M3DSIM post-doctoral researcher Alexandre Laurin recently published an article titled Accurate and consistent automatic seismocardiogram annotation without concurrent ECG in the journal Physiological Measurements. It describes software that was written to distinguish the various parts of the seismocardiogram signal with no user input. It can be used to obtain heart-rate-variability, left-ventricular ejection period, and other useful cardiac time indices.
