My main research topic is the modeling of fibre networks that constitute biological tissues such as skin, tendon or arteries. I use physics and probabilities to describe the detailed interactions between biological fibres linking microscopic structure and larger scale function. To this end I also work on stochastic simulation algorithms. My interests also extend to all things biophysics and complex systems and computational methods to explore these fields, such as cellular automata.
On the side, I also engage in questions of scientific outreach, open science and visual design of scientific data.
